The story and mission behind our company
2020. In the middle of the pandemic one of our founders and CEO had the dream of traveling and living in China and needed to learn Chinese.
So he met Pedro (a Portuguese Chinese teacher also co-founder). It might sound weird to book chinese classes from a Portuguese person but just a couple of classes were needed to see how Pedro was able to speak fluent Chinese (HSK9) within studying it for only 4 years and convince Erik.
Pedro showed Erik his methodology in order to learn Chinese but the method was analogical and needed endless efforts of organisation so we had the idea of digitalizing the whole process in a simple and dynamic app and the most important thing... that you could learn Chinese from your mother tongue (until now you needed to know English in order to learn Chinese). After convincing the rest of the team Boost Chinese was born.
Initially we were setting up something simple but it ended up being a great project, with passion and enthusiasm... thousands of people learn with us nowadays and we aim to be the definitive solution to boost chinese learning curve and be the definitve tool to train yourself between each chinese class you take..
